So as we approach our third Sunday of the month of February, I was thinking about what I would like to do . I have wanted to do a tasting party since I saw the Food Nanny do one on her show. You know, she goes to people's homes and gets them to eat nutritious foods together as a family. This show in particular was about some really picky eaters, including the Dad. So she made them try some foods they thought they didn't like. Of course there are rules. She said (1)they had to try everything, if they didn't like it they didn't have to finish it, (2) they couldn't make a fuss if they didn't like it. The dad got out of trying tomatoes ( which he didn't like) and one of the kids literally gagged on pasta. It was a good episode. Sooooo.... I would like to have a tasting party this next Third Sunday Dinner. Here are the rules:
(1.) Each family will bring 2 things that they have never tried before. You can bring the recipe to share too if you would like.
(2.) Everyone will have to try each offering. At least a taste.
(3.) No one can make a fuss about things they THINK they don't like.
There will be paper plates so we can try each item alone without the interference of other foods. When all of the items have gone around, you can eat what you liked best.
I'm sure we will tweek the rules once we get going. I'm looking forward to it! Third Sunday dinner, February 20, 2011. YEAH!!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness mom. How you cater to one person just makes laugh. Paper plates to avoid interference from other foods. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!:)
